Shandra Thai Cuisine
In 1994, Walla and Michael moved their family from the bustling streets of Los Angeles to the quiet suburbs of Palmdale, CA. Finding that there were not many options for quality Thai food in the Antelope Valley, they decided to open a restaurant to fill that niche.
Their goal was to serve the freshest food, flavors reminiscent of their childhoods in Thailand- aromatic, spicy, salty, sweet and tangy, all robust yet balanced. The harmony of those flavors incorporates organically grown ingredients from their own garden, such as fresh kaffir lime leaves.
Walla and Michael wanted their food to be served in a place where people would feel welcomed and families were encouraged to bring their young children. They made it a habit to get to know their customers and feed them well. The restaurant and neighboring market, named after their two children, are family run.
